Madoc and team obviously wanted to use the environment and character representations to tell a story and create a setting, so of COURSE there's a reason that tits are a thing in Exanima, and there's no point in getting angry when people want to discuss it. You attempt to explain the reason, then type in all caps that there is no reason, then tell me that you already explained the reason, and now you're doubling back and saying there is no reason again. If the devs wanted every element of their game's setting explained, they would shove it down our throats like the majority of AAA titles do. It's only tiresome because you're so incredibly emotional about it. You should join the Exanima discord server or the Bare Mettle forums. For now, I think it's just an indication that men and women are considered equals in this universe. If the proctor, for example, had her breasts bound with cloth, that would be an indication that she was making an effort to look like a man. Now if they changed that detail depending on what character you select, that would be interesting. Since Exanima is narrated by the small details and nuance in the surroundings, it would make sense to me that they made an effort to show that women are more or less on equal footing with men, and don't have to resort to chest-binding or any sort of practices to make them seem more masculine to fit in with a fighting troupe. I will say that a brassiere in that depiction of a civilization doesn't seem likely outside of some form of medieval lingerie, and it would be sort of ham-handed to just force a cloth strip over the nipples of female characters in such a realistically styled game. I don't think I've ever actually thought about it being out of place.
